Live Shot Buddy is a directional assistance tool for television news photographers and live truck operators. Its designed to expertly guide the user toward the target receiver site, as well as provide directional data for the site operator to quickly align microwave signals.
Live Shot Buddy sends the users geolocation data to team members by emailing specified recipients, and dials the phone number for the receiver site operator. When up against tight, broadcast deadlines, this saves the users precious time by relaying critical communication details quickly.
Live Shot Buddy has user accounts that allow data sharing to other members. One user can create all the data needed for one station. He or she then uploads that data and secures it with a passcode. That way, everyone in the shop can access the same unit, site information and other customized data.
Shot tracking allows users to record successful or failed live shot attempts for future reference. This information can be accessed through a map that details tower locations in relation to the detailed live shot attempts.
